All City Hall facilities (Business Office, Animal Shelter, Landfill, Civic Center) will remain closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 16, due to weather. Residential sanitation routes WILL NOT run tomorrow. Weather permitting, sanitation will resume with Wednesday’s regular route.
We will keep you informed of any schedule changes as we assess the situation. These measures are taken for the safety of our city employees as well as to discourage travel on the streets.
Though the weather has turned to mostly snow there is a lot of ice mixed in and underneath the accumulations of snow making the streets very treacherous. We are doing our best to clear the streets but there is only so much that can be done with the temps remaining below freezing.
