Carmacks Fish Barn To Rebuild

The owners of the beloved Carmacks Fish Barn have announced they will rebuild after September’s devastating fire destroyed the restaurant.

Carmacks was a landmark in the local area and had been open since 1984, serving good catfish, beans and hush puppies to its loyal customers. Carmacks drew customers from all over the area.

Owners Kaylene and Corey Radford announced in a Facebook post:

“Carmacks Family and Friends,

We sure have missed every single one of you, we sure hope you are doing well and 2022 is blessing you.

As the days turn to weeks and the weeks to months, we have realized just how much we miss all of you and that old barn.

It is with love and excitement that we make the announcement that, we ARE going to rebuild! So many of you have reached out in the last 6 months, and we are forever grateful for your kind words and many prayers! With the encouragement and love from all of you, we KNOW this is the right choice and that we will be back and better than ever.

No definite date yet, but just know we are coming back, and we are sooo excited to see each and every one of you and catch up like old friends.

We don’t foresee being up and running by the fourth of July, but we do plan to have our firework show! We hope to see you and your families there, details to come later.

As always, we love all of you and appreciate the continued love, support, and prayers!”
