Mr. Edward “C.E.” Malone, age 93, of Henry, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at McKenzie Healthcare and Rehab. His funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 18, 2022 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Wall of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow the service in Palestine Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Joe Chapman, Joe Brown, Lucas Brown, Will Brown, Bobby Swayne and James Malone; with honorary pallbearers as Darris Nash, Jeff Lamb and Roy Owen.
Visitation for Mr. Malone is scheduled on Monday, after 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M.
Carl Edward Malone was born June 7, 1928 in Henry, Tennessee to the late Claude Malone and the late Ora Edwards Malone. He married Helen Lawrence Malone on June 7, 1947 and she preceded him in death on December 10, 2020. Edward is survived by his daughter, Barbara Priddy and husband Tommy of Henry; daughter-in-law, Mary Malone of Paris; grandchildren, Jennifer Brown and husband Joe, Amanda Swayne and husband Bobby, James Malone and wife Kimberly, Shelby Priddy Chapman and husband Joe and Stephanie Priddy; great grandchildren, Carly Milton, Lucas Brown, Will Brown, Ava Swayne, Rob Swayne, Anderson Malone, Aubrey Malone, Tucker Malone, Graham Malone, Emma Chapman, Levi Chapman and Helen Chapman; and lifelong best friend, Darris Nash of McKenzie.
Besides his parents and wife, Edward is also preceded in death by his son, Eddie Malone (Nov. 3, 1997) and by his brothers, James Malone and Jack Malone.
Mr. Malone was a longtime member and Deacon of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Mason for over 60 years and a member of the Paris lodge. Edward worked at Holley Carburetor, formerly of Paris until it’s closing. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and working with most anything outdoors especially with his wife, Helen.
