Kick-off Tennessee River Jam with a FREE concert in downtown Paris beginning at 5:15 on Thursday evening, June 1st. Festivities will begin with the recognition of the Henry County Leadership class followed by the presentation of the 2023 Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce Awards. Nikki Bobo will take the stage at 6:00 p.m. Presented by Commercial Bank & Trust Company, the band Almost Famous follows at 7:00 p.m. Jason D. Williams, sponsored by Security Bank and the Breakers Marina, will perform at 8:00 p.m. There will be food trucks available as well as the beer garden. Tennessee River Jam merchandise will be available for purchase as well as tickets for the Friday concert at Paris Landing State Park. It is going to be a great opening night with a beautiful backdrop of downtown Paris.
Just a reminder that two blocks of Poplar Street and the surrounding area will close Wednesday evening in preparation for the event. Stage and sound production will be very busy setting up equipment prior to 3:00 p.m. Chairs may be set up beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Also, for emergencies and foot traffic, please keep all sidewalks clear. No chairs are allowed on the sidewalks. No coolers or pets are allowed at the event.
Chamber Interim Director Rachel Steedly said, “We have so many amazing artists and venues lined up June 1 – 4, 2023, in Paris and Henry County, Tennessee. The four-day music festival will feature over 24 musicians at 7 local venues, with a few of the shows being offered free.”
The Tennessee River Jam headliners include Chris Janson, Drake White, Jason D. Williams, and Almost Famous. The main event at Paris Landing State Park will be held Friday, June 2. Johnny Mac will open for Drake White and Chris Janson.
