Christmas Open House

As the first of many open houses in the region, Downtown Unwrapped in Paris, Tennessee, kicks off November 5th-7th with food trucks, fire pits, live music, a car show, a shopping passport and more!

Friday November 5th:

Kicking off the weekend, food trucks will be ready for shoppers beginning at 5:00 PM and will stay open until 8:00 PM.  Enjoy shopping in our historic downtown with a wide variety of retail options, all decked out for the upcoming holiday season. Be sure to grab a Passport to Christmas at any of the participating stores.  When you spend money in one of those stores, you will receive a stamp on that page.  The more stamps you receive, the more chances to win $1,000 in Downtown Dollars.  Play from November 5th – December 11th.

Saturday, November 6th:

Plan to spend the day in Downtown Paris with a “Christmas Car Show”  presented by Street Dynamics from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM in the First United Methodist Church Parking Lot. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place as well as People’s Choice.  Also at the car show, catch live music from Ethan Torsak from 10:30 AM – noon and Cherry Avenue from 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM.  All proceeds from the car show will benefit the Downtown Paris Association.

Merison’s Home Furnishings and Eagle Buildings are sponsoring the “Food Truck Court”. Food trucks will be open throughout the day with live music kicking off on the courthouse steps at 11:00 AM from the Krider Performing Arts Center’s group, Harmonix. At noon, enjoy Larry and Elaine Conger and their world renowned dulcimer music.  No stranger to Paris, the University of Tennessee Martin Pacer Pans, a steel drum band, will take the steps at 2:00 PM to play holiday favorites.  Britnee Kellogg has taken the internet by storm with her recent hit “Hey Mama” with millions of views on Tik-tok.  She will kick off the evening at 5:00 PM. Randall French, John McDaniel, Leslie and Brooke Cooper, and Nikki Bobo are hometown favorites, and they will take the stage together to bring you their favorite Christmas tunes in our “Hometown Round” at 6:00 PM. The music is brought to you compliments of Jamie Orr with Orr Investment Management.

Enjoy festive shopping, collect passport stamps, and grab a free cup of coffee from Jack’s Java 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Saturday.  Simply show a receipt that you have shopped in Downtown Paris that day and our friends from Dynamix Physical Therapy will buy your drink as a “thank you” for shopping local during Christmas Open House.

Sunday, November 7th:

From noon – 5:00 PM the festivities continue with more shopping, more food trucks, and more fun!  Join the Paris-Henry County Bicentennial Committee at 2:00 PM on the courthouse lawn to celebrate the founding of Henry County with a proclamation, community choir performance, and tree planting.
