Henry County History Book Deadline

Family histories are still coming in daily for publication in the upcoming Henry County Family History Book, expected to be in print later this year. There have been hundreds of histories entered so far, and many more are expected before the January 30th deadline, according to the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center.

Detailed brochures about the book at still available at the Heritage Center, including sample family histories and instructions on how people throughout the county can participate.

“You don’t have to write well to develop your own family history,” said Stephanie Tayloe, Book Committee Chair. “We even have fill-in-the-blank forms available, so if you can answer the questions about your ancestors, we can help compose your story!”

Every family currently living in Henry County, or who came from the county, may provide a brief family history up to 500 words in length along with one photograph. There is no cost to include family histories up to 500 words.

For more information, contact the Heritage Center at (901) 616-8961 or by emailing hcbicen200@gmail.com. Copies may be reserved through the Heritage Center for only $59.95. The deadline for submitting material for the book is January 30, 2022.

The book will be published by Acclaim Press, who specializes in community histories and trade publications. Additional information about the book is available on the Acclaim Press website: www.acclaimpress.com.
