“Purple In Paris” To Recognize Domestic Violence

The Eiffel Tower in Paris will be lit up purple October 1-3 in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and many agencies in the community will be going “Purple In Paris” during this time.

Brancy White, Henry County Domestic Violence Response Manager at WRAP said due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the annual recognition will be different. Typically, there is a proclamation and walk around the court square, but this year they decided on the “Purple In Paris” project.

White said, “On October 1st, many people and agencies in the community will be participating by wearing the color purple and posting to Facebook with the hashtags: #PurpleInParis and #WRAPTN.”
