Latter Day Saints Donation to Henry County Food Pantries

Thanks to a generous gift of food from the Latter Day Saints, the Little Food Pantries in Henry County have been stocked and will continue to be for some time. Coordinator Rev. Emily Muzzall Walker said nine pantries are benefiting from the donation. Volunteers associated with the county’s Food Pantries gathered Saturday for a work day to sort out the donations. Rev. Walker said each pantry has been picking up their food which will help considerably in keeping the pantries stocked in the days and weeks ahead.

Pantries receiving the goods:

• Henry United Methodist

• Puryear Baptist

• Trinity United Methodist Church

• Bethesda Church

• Atkins-Porter Neighborhood

• Puryear Strong

• Quinn Chapel

• Wiley Chapel

• Church of Living God

Stocking will take place with “lots of help from Paris First United Methodist Church”, she said. “Our pantries are going to be well-stocked. It’s a beautiful thing to see. This donation will help so many people.”
